October Field Update
What a wonderful time I shared with my youngest daughter Naomi who is walking in her father’s footsteps. We went to Sant’ Angelo and showed the resolution for the sister city to the Mayor and told him the official one is on its way. I was amazed of how the work is progressing. Almost everyone is in the new homes. The mayor wants to start working on a sign that will show the Sister City relationship. I am waiting now for the master plan so we can start working on the project. Now we have the kindergarten school built ...
Hope For A Community
SANT'ANGELO, Italy - For most of the survivors of the Italy earthquake the future seems uncertain. Now, months after the disaster, the majority is still displaced in hotel rooms or camps set up on the edge of their ruined towns. Each day is a monotonous waiting game as they try to picture a future in a region where the infrastructure was so badly damaged. On a positive note, they do have access to everything they need for survival: food, water, shelter and medical care. But much more than that is needed for life to return to normal. Operation Blessing will be ...
Light tower - Onna
On April 21, Operation Blessing has been able to deliver a light tower to the field of Onna. This is a generator with extendable poles with four lights that can illuminate an area of 2.000mq. We are counting on your prayers for the development of the next project, entrusted by the mayor Pierluigi Biondi, after meeting with the Chairman of Operation Blessing International, Bill Horan and Senators Lucio Malan and Fabrizio di Stefano, in the town of Sant 'Angelo. Contact us to find out how you can be part of the reconstruction project of the Library, Auditorium and Sports Center. View Photos

Bringing light into the darknessItaly - As I approached the rubble of a 700-year-old church in Villa Sant’Angelo, Italy, a small, historic village that was devastated by the April 5 quake, I noticed that time had stopped. According to the local mayor, the quake struck at 3:32 a.m., however the clock continued ticking for nearly 15 minutes after the quake. Minutes later, the church... [Read more of this review]
Grieving Italy quake victims reluctant to leaveWe were headed to the village of Onna, which had sustained massive destruction during the 6.3-magnitude earthquake. Out of a population of around 310 residents, as many as 38 were killed. Along the road linking the coastal city of Pescara to L’Aquila, we passed by beautiful towns nestled against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. The road twisted... [Read more of this review]
